Dillon Gabriel has transferred to the Oregon Ducks

Senior quarterback Dillon Gabriel’s time in the Sooner State is over.

The star signal-caller announced his intention to transfer across the country to Oregon on Saturday, giving the Ducks another Heisman-caliber quarterback to replace Bo Nix.

Gabriel was great for the Sooners this year, collecting 30 passing touchdowns while only throwing 6 interceptions. His 87.3 QBR was the fourth-best among qualifying quarterbacks in the country.

The senior made plays with his legs as well, adding 12 rushing touchdowns and 373 rushing yards to his already impressive passing totals.

This move is exactly what Oregon needed as they transition into the Big 10 in 2024. Gabriel gives the Ducks an established quarterback that should be able to handle a difficult schedule, both in terms of travel and competition.
