1 seed Auburn vs. 1 seed Florida

The Final Four starts off with a rematch of a game earlier this season, where Florida went to Auburn and took down the No. 1 ranked Tigers 90-81.

Walter Clayton Jr. and Alex Condon led the way for the Gators, with Clayton having 19 and Condon having 17 points in that game. Despite missing Alijah Martin, who is arguably the Gators second best player, the Gators were still where able to win, and lead most of the game on the road.

Walter Clayton Jr. has arguably been the best player in this entire tournament, including a massive 30-point performance in the Elite 8, including two massive 3 pointers in crunch to time to tie the game and take a 3-point lead with one minute remaining.

The Gators have had the tendency to show some of their flaws in this tournament, leading them to have to make late second half comebacks against Texas Tech and UConn. But they have been on an absolute heater since their loss to Georgia, and dominated in the SEC tournament and have dominated for the most part in the tournament.

For Auburn this game relies on Johni Broome. If he is fully healthy and can give Bruce Pearl 25-plus points, I think Auburn wins this game.

In the first game against Florida he had a solid game with 18 points and 11 rebounds, but if he can take over the paint on the offense side of the ball it gives space to guys like Chad Baker-Mazara, Miles Kelly and Tahaad Pettiford to shoot the three ball and get good looks.

Due to my recent form this is my contribution to watch Auburn crumble in the Final Four. Auburn by a million.

1. 1 seed Duke v. 1 seed Houston

A lot of people are focused on this matchup being between Duke’s No. 1 offense in the country against  Houston’s No. 1 defense, but people forget Duke has a top 5 defense in the country as well.

Duke is one a very similar run as UConn the past two years on the road to their back to back national championships, blowing out every team in sight.

I think this Duke team is one of the greatest teams of all time, led by Cooper Flagg, and I think that this streak will continue. Duke will dominate this Houston team.
