After every week during the NFL season, Section 400 writer Jack Albanese will give us his updated power rankings of all 32 teams across the league.
Here is where each team stands after last week’s action.
- San Francisco 49ers
-

Tim Nwachukwu/Getty Images The 49ers completely curb-stomped the Eagles in Philadelphia. It doesn’t get much better than that for this San Francisco team. Even though they still are behind the Eagles in the NFC, this is the best team in football.
- Philadelphia Eagles
-

Eric Hartline/USA TODAY Sports The Eagles are frauds. Make sure to tune in to the podcast on Thursday for Matt’s meltdown.
- Baltimore Ravens
-

Kiyoshi Mio/USA TODAY Sports As Brian would say, the Ravens won their bye week. The Jaguars and Chiefs losses have given Baltimore a likely path to the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
- Kansas City Chiefs
-

Mark Hoffman/USA TODAY Sports The Chiefs have been a tough team to grade this season due to wildly inconsistent play. Kansas City still has Patrick Mahomes and we all know what he’s capable of, but the offense needs to find it’s identity and stride as we wrap up the regular season.
I like them just a little bit less than Baltimore, but a little bit more than Miami right now. All three teams are interchangeable in my eyes, however.
- Dallas Cowboys
-

USATS Dallas picked up a big win against the Seahawks on Thursday. The Cowboys finally beat a team with a winning record, which shoots them up the rankings.
The offense looked amazing, but their defense surrendered 5 touchdowns to a Seattle offense that game in reeling. The secondary needs to shape up to keep the Cowboys in my top 5.
- Miami Dolphins
-

Getty Images Tyreek Hill is insanity. The Dolphins No. 1 receiver is on pace to demolish 2,000 yards on the season. He pairs with Jaylen Waddle, Raheem Mostert, and Davon Achane to create arguably the best position player grouping in the league.
The real story for the Dolphins is the defense though. Miami’s defense has come alive since their bye week, holding opposing offenses to just under 14 points per game over the past 3 weeks. Having a player like Jalen Ramsey back certinaly helps.
The Dolphins won’t be tested again until Week 16 against the Cowboys, as they play the Jets and Titans over the next two. A 2-0 record could give Miami a stranglehold on the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
- Detroit Lions
-

Junfu Han / USA TODAY NETWORK After going up 21-0 in the blink of an eye, this Lions team almost choked away a win against the Saints last week. Detroit’s defense is BAD, but Dan Campbell’s team plays hard and tough every week, giving them a chance against anyone.
- Jacksonville Jaguars
-

AP Photo Prayers up to my guy Trevor Lawrence. Early Reports indicate a high ankle sprain, which normally leads to a multiple-week absence.
Jacksonville can pretty much kiss the No. 1 seed in the AFC goodbye with C.J Beathard under center for the foreseeable future, and the AFC South is also up for grabs all of a sudden.
My Jags only lead the Colts and Texans by a game with Lawrence, Christian Kirk, Travis Etienne, and some key defensive players all banged up. It’s going to be rough for Jaguars fans over the next few weeks against the Browns and Ravens with limited weapons.
- Buffalo Bills
-

Getty Images The Bills had a much-needed bye week after a heartbreaking loss to Philadelphia in Week 12. Let’s see if the week off brings back the “Super Bowl-caliber play” we know the Bills are capable of.
- Houston Texans
-

Troy Taormina/USA TODAY Sports There you have it. For the first time this season, the Houston Texans have cracked the top 10. Houston is never out of games with quarterback C.J Stroud’s ability to sling it around the field. I hate to say it, but they’re a dangerous team on any given Sunday.
