Jack’s NFL Power Rankings After Week 5

Every week during the NFL season, Section 400 writer Jack Albanese will give us his updated power rankings of all 32 teams across the league.

Here is where each team ranks after 5 weeks of action.

San Francisco 49ers (97 overall)

The 49ers check in at No. 1 on the list. San Francisco is 5-0 and just dismantled the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Injuries might be the only thing to stop this team.

Kansas City Chiefs (94 overall)

The Chiefs closely trail the 49ers for the top overall spot. Patrick Mahomes and the boys are 4-1 and getting better by the week. The defense is sneakily a top unit in the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles (93 overall)

The Eagles could easily be No. 2 on this list, but they land at No. 3 this week nonetheless.

The Eagles’ offense, brotherly shove and all, has gotten better as the season has progressed to complement a very good defense.

Buffalo Bills (94 overall)

The Buffalo Bills are going to be just fine. Traveling to London clearly affected the team, and a home game against the Giants will fix whatever issues they had across the pond.

Miami Dolphins (90 overall)

The Miami Dolphins may have one of the best offenses we’ve ever seen. The defense has playmakers at all levels and will be dominant with the return of Jalen Ramsey later this season.

Mike McDaniel’s squad is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Dallas Cowboys (89 Overall)

The Dallas Cowboys were blitzkreiged by the #1 ranked San Francisco 49ers last week on Sunday Night Football.

Still, this Dallas team is legit with one of the best defenses in the league and a solid offense with studs like Tony Pollard and Ceedee Lamb.

Detroit Lions (88 overall)

The Detroit Lions are good and I don’t know how to feel about it.

Ford stock is up 0.61% this month, and you bet your ass it’s because the Lions are a great football team.

Jacksonville Jaguars (86 overall)

DUUUUUVVVVALLLLLLLLLL!

My Jags are back and better than ever after dismantling the Buffalo Bills in London last week. Here come the Jaguars baby.

Baltimore Ravens (85 overall)

Had wide receiver Rashod Bateman caught this would-be touchdown pass last Sunday, the Ravens would probably be 4-1 and in the top 5 of these rankings.

Instead, they blew the game to the division rival Steelers, and now sit in a crowded AFC North, although they still look like the best team in the division.

Los Angeles Chargers (85 overall)

I will probably regret putting these frauds in the top 10 but for now this is where they sit.

A team this talented HAS to figure it out eventually right?
