Jack’s NFL Power Rankings After Week 7

After every week during the NFL season, Section 400 writer Jack Albanese will give us his updated power rankings of all 32 teams across the league.

Here is where each team stands after last week’s action.

The Chiefs are absolutely rolling right now. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the voodoo magic of Taylor Swift have accumulated 6 straight wins.

The offense seems to have found its stride after struggling early, and Kansas City finally has a top-notch defense to help win games.

Last week’s throttling of the Miami Dolphins was a huge bounce-back win for an Eagles team that needed it.

The Birds held an electric Dolphins attack to just 17 points, by far their lowest point total this season

The Eagles have every right to be in the No. 1 spot, but their loss to the Jets looks worse on the resume than the Chiefs’ loss to the Lions.

Despite losing two straight games, the 49ers still the best roster in the NFL.

I need to see quarterback Brock Purdy not lose composure in big moments if this team is going to contend for a Super Bowl however.

I’m not too worried about the San Francisco as a team though.

Baltimore just had one of the most dominant performances of the season against a very good Detroit team.

The Ravens shoot up my rankings for now. Let’s see if Lamar Jackson can actually stay healthy this year.

My Jaguars are rolling. Jacksonville just picked up a massive primetime win on the road in New Orleans and now play the Steelers in another winnable game before the bye week.

The sun is fucking shining in Duval boys!

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen- how in the world do you lose to Mac Jones and the Patriots? This team has looked awful since their home win against Miami.

The Bills only win since was a 14-9 stinker over Tyrod Taylor and the 2-5 Giants. This team doesn’t deserve to sniff the top 5.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have an outstanding offense led by the football mind of head coach Mike McDaniel. This team may have just exposed themselves as frauds though.

Miami needs to win a big game to earn back my respect. The first chance to do that will come week 9 against Kansas City.

The Cowboys were on the bye this week. Fuck em’.

Detroit Lions

The Lons were just steamrolled in Baltimore. I had high hopes for the Lions coming into this game, and they proved me so wrong.

Lamar Jackson dismantled the Loins defense, while Jared Goff and the offense couldn’t get anything going against an above average Baltimore defense.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns keep hanging around the top 10 for now. Cleveland was pretty much handed a win in Indianapolis last week.

Their Defense and Myles Garrett are special, but Deshaun Watson’s health/ineffectiveness are a massive concern.
