This week brought more upsets and chaos across the college basketball landscape, causing Brian and Matt to once again change up their field of 68.
Here is where each team ranks with just one more month to go until the big dance.
Read below to see where your favorite team lands!
First Four Out: Nevada, Butler, Memphis, St. Johns
- Nevada is the worst good team in a very solid Mountain West. If they can keep winning the committee should put them into the field.
- Butler has fallen out of our field after a rough week. The Bulldogs need to pick up quality wins, but that could be hard in a sub-par Big East.
- Memphis has a lot to figure out. Penny Hardaway’s team is no longer in the discussion atop the AAC. That is a problem.
- St. Johns is riddled with inconsistencies that should keep them out of the field on Selection Sunday.
Last Four In: Washington State, Nebraska, Michigan State, Cincinnati
- Washington State is trending in the perfect direction at the right time. The Cougars picked up road wins over Oregon and Oklahoma State this week, moving them into second place in the PAC 12. With plenty of home games left, WSU has all the chance in the world off the bubble as soon as next week.
- Nebraska lost to Northwestern on the road then beat a bad Michigan team back at home. The Cornhuskers need to take advantage of an easy remaining schedule to secure their spot in March.
- Cincinnati is good enough to go dancing but incosistent play has the Bearcats on the bubble. They have a huge opportunity to open the week when Iowa State comes to town on Tuesday.
- Michigan State is our 65th team in after a huge home victory over Illinois. A few more wins will have Sparty safely off the bubble.
