Welcome to Views from 400 Bracketology!
This week brought more upsets and chaos across the college basketball landscape, causing Brian and Matt to once again change up their field of 68.
Here is where each team ranks with just one more month to go until the big dance.
Read below to see where your favorite team lands!
First Four Out: Nevada, Ohio State, Memphis, St. Johns
- Nevada was in as an 11 seed in last week’s rendition of our bracketology, but road losses to San Diego State and Wyoming have moved them to the outside looking in for now.
- Ohio State has fallen out of our field as well after a rough week. This team cannot afford to struggle in a mediocre Big 10 conference.
- Memphis suffered a horrible loss vs. Rice after losing to Tulane and UAB the week before. They are not a tournament team right now.
- St. Johns had the chance to pick up a huge win for the resume against UCONN. They did not. Now the Red Storm are on the outside looking in for the first time in a month.
Last Four In: Oregon, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Villanova
- Oregon is hanging on by a thread. They’ll need an undefeated week to stay on the right side of the bubble.
- Texas A&M is back in the dance after a solid week that saw them beat red-hot Florida. For now, Wade Taylor IV has led his Aggies back into the field/=,
- Villanova has struggled all season long. The Wildcats continue to be inconsistent under head coach Kyle Neptune and are now in danger of missing the tournament.
- Michigan State needs to figure it out. We think Tom Izzo will, but that thinking is becoming more optimistic than factual.
