Welcome to Views from 400 Bracketology! With February approaching, Brian and Matt give their best prediction on how the field of 68 will shake out come “Selection Sunday”.
As has been the case for most of this season, this week was filled with upsets that shook up not only the Polls but future seeding as well.
Read below to see where your favorite team lands!
First Four Out: Nevada, Ohio State, Nebraska, Colorado
- Nevada was in as an 11 seed in last week’s rendition of our bracketology, but road losses to San Diego State and Wyoming have moved them to the outside looking in for now.
- Ohio State has fallen out of our field as well after a rough week. This team cannot afford to struggle in a mediocre Big 10 conference.
- Nebraska is trending up after a win over Northwestern. The road loss to Rutgers keeps them outside of the field however.
- Colorado is the biggest mover of the week, getting into the discussion for the first time this season.
Last Four In: Oregon, Seton Hall, Michigan State, Villanova
- Oregon had a chance to get a massive home win on Saturday against Arizona. They didn’t show up. The Ducks stay on the bubble for now.
- Seton Hall had a terrible week featuring a home loss to Providence and a blowout loss to Marquette. They fall to the bubble for now.
- Villanova has struggled all season long. The Wildcats continue to be inconsistent under head coach Kyle Neptune and are now in danger of missing the tournament.
- Michigan State needs to figure it out. We think Tom Izzo will, but that thinking is becoming more optimistic than factual.
