What happened last night; December 14

This sports week hasn’t been the best.

Go get Yamamoto Steve. The Ronny Mauricio news nearly crushed me and signing Jorge Lopez to a 1-year-deal is not going to make me feel any better. If anything, I’m even more rattled now.

Every single weekday, the guys from Section 400 will be providing a rundown of everything that happened in sports the night before.

Let’s get into it.

THAT’S OUR BALL

Giannis Antetokounmpo was a man on a mission Wednesday night.

Just a week after the Indiana Pacers eliminated Antetokounmpo’s Bucks from the In-Season Tournament, Giannis got his revenge.

The Bucks star went off on Indiana for a career-high (and Bucks franchise record) 64-points in the win. The Pacers then proceeded to take the game ball and hand it to rookie Oscar Tshiebwe after he scored his first career points in the blowout loss.

As you’d expect, Giannis was not a fan of that idea, and a mini-scuffle ensued.

Bad day to be a Blue Jay.

USATS

Just a day after I added the Creighton Blue Jays as my third team that could win the NCAA Tournament, they decided to get blown out in Las Vegas by 3-4 UNLV.

Nights like this are bound to happen for a Blue Jays team that relies on outside shooting.

Stars Baylor Scheierman and Trey Alexander bricked their way to a 3/14 mark from 3-point range, which simply won’t happen in most games for Creighton.

For now, I’m not worried. That could change very soon though with the fraudulent nature of Greg McDermott teams.
