Still working with a cold here and it’s a little worse today so your opener is limited to just these two sentences. Sorry.
Baltimore Giveth and Baltimore Taketh Away.

Less than a week after the city of Baltimore sees their MVP quarterback falter under the bright lights and lose to “dad bod” Mahomes and the Swiftie Cult, the baseball team gets sold by its horrendous owner and trades for a top 10 pitcher in the sport.
Not only that, but Orioles general manager and reigning AP Executive of the Year Mike Elias was able to acquire 29-year-old Corbin Burnes for an already rocky pitching prospect in DL Hall (I’m not sure how he can succeed with a name like that) and shortstop Joey Ortiz.
Elias was able to hold onto all five of his top prospects leaving the door open for a possible Dylan Cease trade as the weeks wind down before spring training.
Baltimore is already a top contender for the World Series without Cease. If they can nab him, it’s going to be a fun summer in Camden Yards.
*side note* David Sterns… Go sign Blake Snell please.
Commanding Mediocrity

When Josh Harris purchased a majority stake in the Washington Commanders from Dan Synder the team was supposed to operate differently.
On Thursday, Harris and the front office made a Synder-like move.Washington announced the hiring of Dan Quinn to be its head coach in 2024 on Thursday.
The former Falcons top dog and recent Dallas Cowboys coordinator is a solid football mind and helped lead Dallas to a solid regular season in 2022, but Quinn is arguably the same exact head coaching Ron Rivera.
Both men are great defensive-minded leaders of men that have plenty of flaws when it comes to leading a full roster. Both have made Super Bowls as head coaches, and both have lost.
Terry McLaurin deserves better. Sam Howell deserves better. Kamren Kurl deserves better. The fans deserve better.
They’ve Got The Juice.

Nebraska is off the bubble, for now. The Cornhuskers stunned No. 6 Wisconsin in overtime last night, erasing an 18-point second half deficit in the process.
The Cornhuskers are now 16-6 on the regular season and have wins over Wisconsin, Ohio State, Purdue, and Michigan State on their resume.
It’ll be hard to keep this team out of the dance come Selection Sunday.
