Maybe it’s because I’m older now and working in sports so it’s more prevalent, but holy shit the sports world has been more boring than an episode of “The Handmaid’s Tale” this month.
Nothing of note happened last night, but we’re still here to recap it because why not.
Sent to Jail.

Carlos Alcaraz has been eliminated in the Quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
The No. 2 seed entering the tournament, Alcaraz was outclassed in four sets by sixth-ranked Alexander Zverev early Wednesday Morning, further widening the already open door for Novak Djokavic to win yet another Major.
If anything, Alcaraz’s loss makes me more upset American Taylor Fritz wasn’t able to advance. Either way the semifinals of the first major in the Grand Slam circuit should be much for entertaining than an episode of The Handmaid’s Tale. (I really hate that show)
For those still rooting for an American, Coco Gauff is very alive on the women’s side of things and has her quarterfinal Thursday morning.
Horns up.

The Texas Longhorns must’ve seen us drop them into the “Last Four In” in our most recent bracketology because they came out angry last night in Norman, Oklahoma.
Max Abmas and company picked up their biggest win of the year on the road against the No. 11 Sooners on Tuesday night. The win was huge for a team riddled with inconsistencies.
Texas is now 3-2 in Quad 1. All three of those wins have come in the BIG 12, which could very well have the most representatives in the NCAA Tournament once Selection Sunday comes around.
