What happened last night; October 12

I can’t quite tell you why your car is in the front yard, or why you slept with your clothes on, but don’t worry, I’m not gone.

Every single day, the guys from Section 400 will be providing a rundown of everything that happened in the world of sports the night before.

Ha-Ha Harper.

Much was made of Atlanta Braves short stop Orlando Arcia’s comments regarding the final play of the Braves game 2 win in Atlanta on Monday.

A simple sentence by Arcia, which stated “ha-ha, atta boy, Harper” became a rallying cry for the Phillies in game 2.

Their best player took it personally.

Harper hit 2 home runs in the contest, leading his team to a 10-2 routing of the National League’s No. 1 seed. The Phillies have a chance to head to their second straight NLCS if they can win again tonight at “The Bank”.

The 84-win Arizona Diamondbacks are now 5-0 in the postseason.

The last team to clinch a spot in the postseason has swept the 2-seed Los Angeles Dodgers in triumphant fashion, winning each game by multiple runs.

Game 3 was much like the others for Arizona, as the lineup sent Dodgers starting pitcher Lance Lynn for an early shower just 2 2/3 innings into the game.

Los Angeles starters combined to throw just 4 2/3 innings in the series, allowing 13 earned runs in the process.

It may be time for Rob Manfred and the powers that be to rename the American League Championship Series the Houston Astros Invitational.

Houston has once again made it to baseball’s final four, setting up a “Lone Star Showdown” with the Texas Rangers for a chance to go to the World Series.

After dropping game 2 of the ALDS to the Twins, Astros pitching was dominant, giving up just 3 runs over the final 18 innings of this series.

The Rangers pitching has been just as dominant in the postseason so far. This ALCS should be a whole lot of fun.

Aces one win away.

The Las Vegas Aces may be the best WNBA team ever assembled.

The Aces dismantled the Liberty for a second straight game, defeating the Eastern Conference champions 104-76 on Wednesday night.

The star of the night was Aces do-it-all guard Chelsea Gray, who finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 11 beautiful assists like this one.
