The Los Angeles Chargers lost yet another winnable game on Monday night. The 20-17 home loss dropped the Chargers back to under .500. They are now 2-3 on the season and sit 2.5 games back of the Chiefs just 5 games into the season.

Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen were once again good in the loss, but the Chargers couldn’t get anything going on the ground, rushing for only 35 yards as a team.

The Cowboys weren’t much better offensively, but Dak Prescott was good enough to lead his team down the field in the middle of the fourth quarter for what would turn into the eventual game winning field goal.

Houston we have a problem

Dallas Morning News

The Texas Rangers have taken the first two games of the ALCS from the Houston Astros.

After a dominant pitching performance led Texas to a game 1 victory, it was the bats that stepped up in game 2. The Rangers tagged Astros starter Framber Valdez in the first inning, tallying 4 runs in before most fans had found their seats.

Things cooled off after that as the Rangers scored one more in the 3rd inning before Houston pitching shut them out for the rest of the game. Still, the early runs were enough to give the Rangers their 7th straight victory of the postseason.

They are now 2 wins away from returning to the World Series for the first time since 2011.
