What happened last night; October 25

I can’t quite tell you why your car is in the front yard, or why you slept with your clothes on, but don’t worry, I’m not gone.

Every single day, the guys from Section 400 will be providing a rundown of everything that happened in the world of sports the night before.

The World Series is set. The 6-seed Arizona Diamondbacks cinderella run continued on Tuesday night, as the Snakes took down the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 to punch their ticket to the World Series.

Left-fielder Corbin Caroll was the star of the night, becoming only the second rookie ever to collect 3 hits in a Game 7. The 23 year old improved his postseason average to .295.

As for the Phillies, the offense was stymied for the second night in a row by D-Backs pitching. Starter Brandon Pfaadt struck out 7 hitters over 4 innings of 2 run ball before handing it off to the bullpen for 5 shutout frames.

Pfaddt was absolutely phenomenal in the series, as the rookie tossed 9 2/3 innings of two run ball, striking out 16 hitters in the process.

The underdog D-Backs will travel to take on the Texas Rangers in Arlington in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday.

The Denver Nuggets opened up the NBA season by raising a banner on Tuesday Night.

An emotional Nikola Jokic saved all of his tears for pregame, as the best player in basketball reminded everyone why he is just that by posting a 29 point, 13 rebound, and 11 assist triple-double in Denver’s win over the Lakers.

The Nuggets looked very good, and I’m already slightly rattled about my future on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

As for the Lakers, Lebron James still looked like Lebron James and Anthony Davis struggled from the field. The support cast was fine, although very inefficient besides Austin Reaves.

The Liberty Flames are the biggest story no one is talking about. The team is now 8-0 on the season, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they shock a Power 5 team come bowl season. For those of you reading this, mark my words, this team will win as an outright 8+ point underdog in their bowl game.

Quarterback Kaidon Salter is a dual-threat maniac that rushes for over 100 yards a game while adding 2 passing touchdowns. Running back Quinton Cooley is good enough to play at the next level, and the defense forces turnovers with their great athleticism.

This team is good.
