I was tempted to hold off restarting this column until the NFL Playoffs started just because of the brutal nature of the slates of games this week, but it’s been too long.
For those of you who are new to Section 400, thanks for following along. For those that have been here since day 1, you know the drill.
Every weekday, the guys from Section 400 will take you through the slate of games they have their eyes on. No matter how great or how disgusting it looks.
Tonight’s set of games isn’t great by any stretch, but we do have some worth monitoring.
Let’s dive right in.
The best.

(NBA) Boston Celtics vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
We’ve been buzzing recently over our Washington Huskies future bet being a game away so it’s easy to forget about our NBA future team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. I’ve been keeping close tabs on our Western Conference darlings though.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the baby-boomers (I mean tell me that is not a perfect nickname) come into this clash with the No. 1 team in the East second in the Western Conference standings.
The aforementioned SGA is playing at an MVP level, averaging well over 30 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Josh Giddey has provided baby Jokic numbers all year long after allegedly sleeping with a baby, and Lu Dort is becoming a 2020’s version of Tony Allen.
Oklahoma City is legit, it just remains to be seen if the young core has what it takes to grind through a long NBA postseason.
For as easy as it is to root for the Thunder, it’s just as difficult to root for the Celtics. Boston has become the Buffalo Bills of the NBA in recent years.
Jayson Tatum is still an MVP-caliber player. Al Horford is still a stat-less All-Star, and Jaylen Brown may have finally learned to dribble with his left hand.
Kristaps Porzingis has provided Boston with 20 points-per-game in the frontcourt, leaving the Celtics 20 games over the .500 mark almost half way into the season.
For some reason this game is not on national televison. Figure it out Adam.
The best of the rest.

(NHL) Flyers vs. Oilers
I’m not sure how many of you pay attention to hockey, but if you aren’t you probably should be. We have a game tonight featuring two of the weirdest teams in sports this year.
The Philadelphia Flyers came into this season in rebuild mode. Even our resident Philly fan Matt had no faith in the Broad Street Bullies, as he predicted them to win just 26 games before the season.
Well, Philly has 19 victories halfway through the season.
26-year-old Travis Konecny has been brilliant, leading the team with 31 points, the goaltending has been elite, and the Flyers are somehow still at the top half of the Eastern Conference.
Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers had an abysmal start to the year, finding themselves 2-9 after 11 games. Since then, they’ve been the hottest team in hockey. Edmonton is 13-3 since November 24, setting up a sizzling matchup tonight.
Unfortunately this game is also not on national televison.
The rest.

- (NCAAB) UNC vs. PITT
- (NCAAB) Duke vs. Syracuse
A couple of ACC openers headline Tuesday’s college basketball slate.
RJ Davis and No. 9 ranked UNC are only 4-point favorites tonight in Pittsburgh. The Panthers have some great talent behind Blank Hinson (20 ppg) and Carlton Carrington (14 pgg), but they simply don’t have enough firepower to keep up with the Tar Heels, even at home.
UNC with the points is a lock here. The under is worth a look as well.
Duke vs Syracuse should also be fun. Although it’s no longer Coach K vs. Jim Boeheim, these two foes normally produce an entertaining product.
