Monday, Monday, Monday.
What a beautifully amazing Monday it is for the sports world.
Every single weekday, the guys at Section 400 will take you through the upcoming night’s slate of games, no matter how incredible, or how disgusting, it looks.
As mentioned above, today lends itself to the former. We have an absolutely phenomenal Monday Night Football game, some great college basketball, and a solid slate of NBA and NHL to watch.
I am beyond excited to dive in.
The best.

(NFL) Eagles vs. Chiefs
I think this game takes home the trophy for the best of the “best” category since we started doing these articles a month ago.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in a Super Bowl 57 rematch on primetime.
Both of these teams come into the game at the top of their respective conferences, and while I can write a million things about this one, I already did.
The best of the rest

- (NCAAB) Gonzaga vs. Purdue
- (NCAAB) UConn vs. Texas
Whenever the Maui Invitational kicks off, it is must watch television. Tonight’s primetime game includes two programs with Final Four aspirations, as Gonzaga (+5.5) takes on 2nd-ranked Purdue at 5 PM eastern.
The Zags have only played two games this season, but have impressed in both. Every starter averages in double-figures for Mark Few, and this team will be in every game because of their offensive firepower.
On the other side, Purdue has gotten off to a 4-0 start off the back on Sasquatch himself, center. Zach Edey. Edey’s ability to sky over defenders will be tested in this one against Gonzaga superstar freshman Braden Huff and junior forward Graham Ike.
The Zags are historically known for great guard play, but this year’s iteration is powered by the frontcourt. The aforementioned Ike and Huff combined with senior Anton Watson create a tough matchup for Edey and Purdue.
This game should be close throughout and I would not be surprised if the Zags win it.
In the continental US, 5th-ranked UConn goes to battle with 15th-ranked Texas in “Empire Classic Benefitting Wounded Warrior Project Presented by Continental Championship Game.”
These teams are going to trade blows faster than you can say the name of the tournament they are playing in. Texas and UConn love to run, and both teams are efficient when they do. The crowd at Madison Square Garden, and us at home, are going to be treated to a fantastic early-season matchup.
The rest.

- (NBA) Kings vs Pelicans
- (NBA/NHL) Rest of Slate
I cannot see a world where the above games don’t interest you, but if they don’t we still have some good action of Monday. The Kings travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans in what should be a fun NBA game.
On the ice, the Rangers take on the Stars in a battle of teams at the top of their conferences. The rest of the action across these leagues is okay, but honestly just do yourself a favor and watch Monday Night Football.
