What to watch for tonight; October 25

Every single day, Section 400 will take you through the upcoming night’s slate of games, no matter how incredible, or how disgusting, it looks.

Today the NBA is back baby! After a teaser double-header last night, we get a full slate of games featuring the new-look Celtics, Thunder, Spurs, and so much more. We also have two more college football games, neither of which looks worth our time, but hey it’s football.

Let’s dive right in.

The best.

(NBA) Celtics vs. Knicks

The NBA doubleheader on ESPN earns our “best” ranking for tonight. Victor Wembanyama makes his debut against Luka Doncic and the Mavs at 9:30 eastern.

The highly-touted rookie is sure to get a large ovation in his home-debut, and this game should be a whole lot of fun.

The new-look Celtics take on the Knicks in the early session in a game that never disappoints. Remember that Evan Fournier masterclass a few years ago that had Knicks fans going bananas?

We remember.

The best of the rest.

(NBA) Remainder of slate

20 other NBA teams begin their seasons on Wednesday. Some of the notable matchups include Jordan Poole and the Wizards hosting Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers, Zion Williamson’s Pelicans taking on the Grizzlies (if only Ja Morant knew how to concealed carry), and the young Magic taking on the even younger Rockets.

The rest.

Sam Houston State Athletics

(NCAAF) Sam Houston State vs. UTEP

(NCAAF) Florida International vs. Jacksonville State

Well, these two games are the epitome of crusty.

The notable storyline to watch here is winless Sam Houston State is favored by 3.5 points at home against 2-6 UTEP. Sam Houston has historically been a solid football program, which makes their 0-7 record confusing and dissapointing.

However, if you’re looking for the best 0 win team in the nation, it is probably them. I’d advise you to keep your eyes far away from either of these games tonight.
