Happy Tuesday!
This NFL season has been an interesting one. It seems like there are very few great teams, a few good teams and, a lot of horrific teams. As most of you my Sundays are spent watching the Eagles, or locked into RedZone if the Eagles aren’t on, I notice quite a few things when I watch all these games.
I can comfortably say that either the Chiefs, Ravens, or Bills are making it out of the AFC. The Steelers, Chargers and Texans are solid teams, but they are light years behind the others. The Bengals offense has been on fire, and they potentially could have been in that top group, but their defense is worse than Matt’s ‘McNeese to the Final Four’ pick in last year’s March Madness.
As for the NFC, I have said the North is going to have the Super Bowl representative of the NFC. The Lions are so good that they can throw 5 interceptions and still win. The Packers have options everywhere, and Brian Flores has the Vikings defense going. I see the Lions and Packers having a chance BUT the way Kyler Murray is playing, the Cardinals are legitimate threats as well. The Falcons have been decent, and while they won’t win the Super Bowl, they can win a playoff game and I will say the same for Jayden Daniels and the Commanders.
As an Eagles fan I have seen what having a ‘Saquon Barkley type player’ does to a team. The 49ers getting Christian McCaffrey back from injury puts them in that great spot going into the playoff push. For someone who is an Eagles fan this will sound biased, but it’s what I see. They have been on FIRE. Jalen Hurts has been playing like an All Pro, and they have weapons everywhere. Last season, Hurts was clearly hurt, but he’s back to his 2022 self in 2024. I have the Eagles winning the whole dang thing this season.
