Daniel Jones OUT Sunday vs Jets

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will officially miss another game this week, and I think I’m happy about it?

I’ve had my angry rants and disappointed takes about the Giants all year, nearly bringing myself to the point of just calling the season over and moving on to 2024.

Then the wonderful wizard of Tyrod Taylor strapped on the shoulder pads and dinked and dunked his way to a win (nearly two wins). Taylor has brought life into weapons such as Darren Waller, Jalin Hyatt, and Wan’Dale Robinson in a way Daniel Jones couldn’t over the first month and a half of the season.

The Giants still have their issues, but Tyrod has rejuvenated my hopeless optimism about this team the past couple weeks.

As for Jones, he is reportedly “getting better” according to head coach Brian Daboll.

Still, Daboll was hesitant to put a timeline of his quarterback’s return, saying “we’ll see where he is next week” when asked about Jones in a press conference.

If I am Daboll and the Giants staff, I say let Daniel Jones have as much time as he needs if Tyrod gets the job done against the Jets this week.

3-5 isn’t dead. 2-6 is. We’ll see if Tyrod and the boys can pick up a huge win this week against their cross-town rival Jets.

Be sure to check out our NFL Podcast this Sunday at 8 AM eastern, as I’ll probably have talked myself into how the Giants are going to make the playoffs by then.

You simply do not want to miss it.
