Dolphins rookie De’von Achane expected to miss multiple weeks

Miami Dolphins star rookie running back De’von Achane has been an absolute firecracker this season.

The third-round pick out of Texas A&M is averaging an insane 12.1 yards per carry this season, leading to 460 rushing yards and 5 scores.

Unfortunately for him and the Dolphins, Achane’s fire has been snuffed, at least for now.

Achane joins star offensive weapons Justin Jefferson and James Conner as players to go down for multiple weeks after suffering injuries week 5.

The Achane injury is certainly a blow for Miami, but they are much for equipt to survive it than the Vikings with Jefferson or the Cardinals with Conner.

The Dolphins are loaded on the offensive side of the ball. Running back Raheem Mostert has been the starter in every game this season has seen the majority of the carries.

The Miami attack features Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (who has yet to really get going this season) on the outside. Maybe head coach Mike McDaniel simply opts to throw more with Achane sidelined.

While the Achane injury hurts the Dolphins and fantasy football managers that were smart enough to roster the rookie, Miami will be fine in the long run.
