Giants name Tommy Devito starter for week 10 games vs Cowboys

The New York Giants were a playoff team a year ago. Now, they are a disgusting mess on par with the underneath of a seat on the 7 train. This team is a complete and utter disaster not worth my time anymore. Things got to what I thought was an all-time low last week, when New York got blown out by the laughably bad Las Vegas Raiders. It’s going to get much worse.

Syracuse almuni and clearly not NFL-ready quarterback Tommy Devito gets the starting nod for the Giants in Dallas on Sunday. Devito, who I ranted about after the Giants inexplicably blew a game to the Jets, has come into the last two games in relief, throwing for 174 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. The 2 interceptions came on back-to-back throws last week against the Raiders.

The fact the Giants haven’t gone out and signed Colt McCoy or another journeyman backup is laughable. It’s clear this dude is clearly either not ready for the NFL or just not good enough to be playing in it.

It’s not even like you can evaluate him for the future in this game because the Giants are going to get smoked. I am actually terrified Devito’s his well-being on Sunday against a good Cowboys defense that just beat up Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts behind his great offensive line.

You may as well go bet the over on Michah Parsons sacks now. Andrew Thomas’ hamstring will magically start to act up after the Giants go down 21 in the first quarter, and I don’t even wanna see what Parsons might do to Evan Neal or Shane Lemieux.

Naming Devito the week 10 starter signals the Giants are in absolute tank-mode. I hate this team. This football season just needs to be done with already.
