Every single day, Section 400 will take you through the upcoming night’s slate of games, no matter how incredible, or how disgusting, it looks.
Today’s slate lends itself towards the latter, but there are still some noteworthy games nonetheless.
Here is a look at what the guys from Section 400 will be watching tonight.
The Best.

(NFL) Commanders vs. Bears: 8:15 EST
(NCAAF) Western Kentucky vs. Louisiana Tech
There is a saying in this country that football is king. Well, at Section 400, that saying rings very true.
This Thursday Night Football game between the Commanders and Bears is going to be uglier than Chicago’s quarterback history, but it’s still the cream of the crop on Thursday’s slate.
A college showdown between Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech checks in as the only other game in the “best” category today, mainly because of Western Kentucky receiver Malachi Corley.
If you haven’t watched the Hilltoppers yet this year, it’s definitely worth tuning in to see the junior receiver.
Corley is averaging just under 83 YPG this season. In one of those games against the mighty Ohio State, Corley put up 8 catches for 88 yards and a score.
The best of the rest.

(NHL) Avalanche vs. Golden Knights: 10:00 EST
(NCAAF) Sam Houston State @ Liberty: 7:00 PM EST
Like I said, this slate is ugly.
TNT will air the Colorado Avalanche vs. Vegas Golden Knights preseason game at 10:00 eastern, allowing us to watch some live sports following the conclusion of Thursday Night Football.
It will be the second preseason game at home for Vegas, who won the Stanley Cup last year after a great regular season. The Avalanche had an even better regular season, but were upset by Seattle in the first round.
0-4 Sam Houston State takes on 4-0 Liberty tonight in Lynchburg. It may not be a good one, but it’s a football game.
The rest.

(PGA) San Farms Open: All Day
(NHL) Remaining preseason slate: 7:00-10:00 EST
When a football game with a 21-point spread makes its way onto the “Best of the rest” list, you know this category is going to be hideous.
The PGA tour is hosting their penultimate United States tournament this weekend. 36-year-old Henrik Norlander currently leads the field after getting caught in the storm and missing the cut at the Fortinet championship, showing we’re in for a magnificent weekend of golf.
Almost every NHL team is in preseason action tonight. TNT is broadcasting the Bruins vs. Rangers game as the first half of their double header, while the other games can be seen on local networks or NHL League Pass.
