Best Player Prop Bets; Commanders vs. Bears

Thursday Night’s game between the 2-2 Washington Commanders and the 0-4 Chicago Bears is expected to be about as dry as the grass covering FedEx Field.

That’s not to say there isn’t some level of intrigue for fantasy football and betting purposes. Considering you clicked on this article for just that, let’s get right into it.

. Brian Robinson Over 16.5 Rushing Attempts (-118)

I listed this prop as my favorite bet in our Thursday Night Football Roundtable this week, and I am sticking with it here as my favorite for tonight.

The line has been bumped since this morning, as it now sits at 16.5 on Fanduel Sportsbook. Still, I love this number for Robinson.

The second-year running back has averaged 18.5 yards per carry in Washington’s pair of wins this year. With the Commanders favored 6 points at home, Robinson should see plenty of work against a Bears defense that gives up 30.5 rushing attempts per game to opponents.

. Justin Fields Under 189.5 Passing Yards (-110)

During my time at Auburn, I coached a flag football team of 7-8 year olds. I went into the season with one goal in mind; Develop a revolutionary passing attack never before seen by a team in that age demographic.

We went 0-8.

As I’ve watched Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears offense unravel this season, I can’t help but think offensive coordinator Luke Getsky is just going through what I went through on a much bigger scale.

The Commanders are surrendering just 166 passing yards per game at home this season. Justin Fields will not surpass that.

. Cole Kmet Over 3.5 Receptions (+102)

Cole Kmet, yes Cole Kmet, has been the most consistent receiving threat for the Chicago Bears this season.

In three games this season, (we’re just going to ignore the Kansas City Chiefs absolute whomping of the Bears in week 3) Kmet has been targeted 7,6, and 9 times. He’s turned those targets into 5,4, and 7 catches, respectively.

I wouldn’t touch any of the Bears’ receiving yards totals with a 10-foot pole, but Kmet’s receptions are too good to pass up.

. First Touchdown Scorer Jahan Dotson (+1300)

Trying to correctly predict the player to score the first touchdown of a NFL football game is about as hard as opening a jar of pickles with olive oil on your hands.

Nonetheless, I’ll try my best to do just that every primetime game this year. (the prediction, not the jar of pickles thing)

Commanders second-year receiver Jahan Dotson hasn’t had the sophomore breakout he was hoping for, but he was target by quarterback Sam Howell a season-high 9 times last week.

Dotson faces off against a Bears secondary that has been abysmal this year, especially on the road. Most of their attention will be on star receiver Terry Mclaurin, possibly leaving Dotson with an opportunity for a big play to start things off.
