Every single day, Section 400 will take you through the upcoming night’s slate of games, no matter how incredible, or how disgusting, it looks.
Like yesterday, today’s slate is more gross than it is decent. With playoff baseball on hiatus for one more day and the full slate of football not starting until Saturday, here are the games your local bar will have on its one TV that we’ll be watching tonight.
The Best.

(NCAAF) Kansas State @ Oklahoma State
(NCAAF) Nebraska @ Illinois
Once again, football reigns king. ESPN’s standalone game features a Big 12 matchup between 3-1 Kansas State Wildcats and the 2-2 Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The Wildcats have been a scoring machine over the first four weeks of the season, averaging nearly 40 points per game.
The Cowboys defense has been a borderline disaster thus far, most notably allowing South Alabama to come into Stillwater and rush for 245 yards.
It’s going to be tough for Cowboys to lasso D.J Giddens and a KSU rushing attack that average the 24th most yards per game in FBS.
A little further up north, the 2-3 Nebraska Cornhuskers travel to Champaign, IL to take on the Fighting Illini in a game with an over/under of 42.5.
Illinois has struggled on the offensive side of the ball, averaging just 22 points. Nebraska has been even worse, barely managing to average two touchdowns per game. Give me the under.
The Best of the rest.

(NHL) Light Preseason slate
Only 10 NHL teams are in action tonight after almost the whole league played last night.
Some of the highlights include the New Jersey Devils taking on the Islanders on Long Island, and Conner McDavid’s Oilers taking on the Seattle Kraken in a battle of playoff teams a year ago.
The rest.

(NBL) Brisbane Bullets vs Cairns Taipans
If you live on the west coast, have ESPN+, and are big fan of former-NBA role players and mid-major college basketball stars, this game is for you! The Aaron Baynes-led (yes that Aaron Baynes) Brisbane Bullets travel to the Cairns, Australia to battle with the Taipans at 5:00 AM EST.
The Taipans are led by former Davidson star Sam Mennenga and former All-OVC first teamer Patrick Miller.
