Good Morning and happy Thursday!
It is October 17th and it’s officially been over a week since the Phillies got eliminated from the playoffs. How am I doing? Fine, I’m fine. Reflecting on it all, it was very apparent that this Phillies team was not going to do anything this year. You could trust Wheeler and realistically everything else was wishful thinking. Now enough with the Phillies, here is what else I’m thinking in the sports landscape.
If you know me, you know I’m a huge Flyers fan. They started off the season last Friday night and even though they are (1-1-1) they have a lot of hope this year. Rookie sensation Matvei Michkov is looking like the real deal, and 18-year-old Jett Luchanko looks like Terrance Gore skating around. There is a lot of hope for the Flyers not only this year but extreme hope for the future!
In the NFL landscape, I think it’s very apparent that a team in the NFC North will be going to the Super Bowl this year. I’m not sure if it will be the Lions, Packers, Vikings, or Bears but one of them is going to do it. The Eagles, even though they have an incredible offense, the vibes just don’t feel right. The 49ers are good but I just don’t think they have the star power anymore.
In the MLB landscape, it is tough for me to watch these games, I should be watching the Phils! Anyway, the Dodgers have zero pitching right now. The Yankees are the only team that has the starting pitching to win the championship I think. Aaron Judge has woken up, and Juan Soto is playing like he wants $650 million. I have the Yankees winning the whole thing, if not realistically it’s a choke job.
NBA you will get my takes in January but I really think barring injuries it’s going to be the Celtics again.
NCAA, why not [W]Indiana? The 6-0 Hoosiers are playing Nebraska as 6.5-point favorites this week. Why can’t the Hoosiers make a playoff run? Also, I still have Georgia winning it all. They lost one game after one bad half. Everyone relax on them.
Thank you all, my last thought is if Mahomes is an underdog you have to bet it.
