Roger Goodell has some serious work to do. The NFL will always be king, but my goodness the product this year has been Oscar the Grouch worthy.
Every single weekday, the guys from Section 400 will be providing a rundown of everything that happened in the world of sports the night before.
Let’s dive into it.
Uh oh Buffalo.

No one circles the wagons of mediocrity like the Buffalo Bills. Even with all the talent, a franchise quarterback, and some key defensive acquisitions, the Bills are still finding ways to lose this year.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it), the choke jobs have come early this year for Buffalo. The team with the third-best preseason Super Bowl odds now has just a 31.1% chance to make the postseason according to ESPN FPI.

The Bills turned the ball over 4 times on Monday, including Josh Allen’s league leading 11th interception. Still, Buffalo’s talent and home crowd willed them to a win, or what should have been a win, had the special teams not provided one last kick to the balls of every fan that came out to watch that clown show in freezing temperatures.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THE BRONCOS MISS THE KICK BUT THE BILLS HAD 12 MAN KN THE FIELD.
SO THEY GOT TO TRY AGAIN AND HIT THE FIELD GOAL AND UPSET BUFFALO
OH MY GOODNESS

Sean Payton’s Broncos also deserve some credit. Denver has now won three games in a row, including upsets of the Chiefs and the Bills. They still have an extremely tough road to make noise in a crowded AFC, but Russell Wilson finally stopped cooking up “mids” in Denver.
Earthquake(ers)

For only the fourth time in 22 meetings and the second time since 2003, the Penn Quakers took down the Villanova Wildcats in the annual showdown between the two Philadelphia schools.
Wildcats not named Justin Moore shot just 15/45 from the field against a solid Penn defense. The aforementioned Moore looks like one of the favorites to win Big East Player of the Year after another fine performance (25/7/3), but the rest of the Villanova offense has plenty of issues.
Penn is no slouch, as the Quakers moved to 4-1 on the young season. Every Quaker starter finished in double figures in this one. Freshmen guard Tyler Perkins lead the way with 22 points.
Everyone has their eyes on Princeton after the Tigers run in last year’s tournament, but this Penn team has a chance to dethrone them in the Ivy League come March. The Quakers will certainly be battle tested, as they still have Houston, Auburn, Kentucky, and Belmont on their out of conference schedule.
Opposite of a Poole party

For those of you that don’t know, I’ve lived in D.C for almost two years now after growing up just north of Philadelphia. I am a diehard Mets and Giants fan (thanks Dad). While I’ve always loved basketball, I’ve never had a specific team I’ve followed.
With the Wizards as my “hometown” team now, I’ve slowly begun to root for them.
I should have just stayed away.
Washington’s ugly start to the season reached its precipice on Monday Night. The Wizards let the Toronto Raptors 107-95 with under six minutes to go in the game.
Toronto won 111-107.
