What to watch for tonight; October 31

Well, I’ll tell you one thing I am EXHAUSTED after that NFL Trade Deadline. If tonight’s slate is anything like today, I’ll be so locked in on the TV the door won’t be opening for a single trick-or-treater.

Every single day, Section 400 will take you through the upcoming night’s slate of games, no matter how incredible, or how disgusting, it looks.

Today’s slate is solid enough to enjoy some candy too, with another World Series game, an NBA on TNT doubleheader, and good ol’ MACtion making its 2023 debut.

Happy Halloween everybody. Let’s get right into it.

The best.

World Series Game 4 (TEX leads 2-1)

The Texas Rangers and the Arizona Diamondbacks face off in a pivotal Game 4 tonight at 8:07 eastern time.

Joe Mantiply gets the start for Arizona in what will be a bullpen game, while Andrew Heaney takes the bump for Texas in quite possible the grossest pitching matchup in World Series history.

Mantiply and the Diamondbacks bullpen will need to be great, as a 3-1 series defecit in the postseason is nearly a death sentence to teams facing it.

Only 14 times out of 92 instances (16%) have teams down 3-1 come back to win the series. We’ll see if Chase Field sounds louder than the local park at 2 pm this time around.

The best of the rest.

(NBA) Knicks vs. Cavaliers

(NBA) Spurs vs. Suns

The NBA on TNT doubleheader is decent at best, but hey it’ll be basketball on a night where not much else is going on. The first game between the Knicks and Cavs screams boring, especially being in Cleveland.

As for the other game, the Suns somehow are already a walking injury report of a roster, as Bradley Beal has yet to make his season debut and Devin Booker is dealing with an injured foot.

If Booker can’t go, this game may actually be pretty entertaining between Victor Wembanyama and the young Spurs and Kevin Durant and the desert of misfit role players.

The rest.

(NCAAF) Northern Illinois vs. Central Michigan

(NCAAF) Buffalo vs. Toledo

There is truly no other weekday in the college football season quite like MACtion Tuesday’s. Although these games are than those whopper chocolate balls (if you like those you should be thrown in jail), football is football and most of us will watch no matter what.

The class of the night will be the 7-1 Toledo Rockets. This team should win the MAC and get into a fairly decent bowl by seasons end.

Besides that, none of these teams get me going at all.
